Our Founder
LIAVELLA was founded by Lia McBride to empower women to live with more balance, confidence, and style. After over a decade in tech and years of global travel, chronic back pain and two major surgeries inspired Lia to rethink the bags women carry every day.
Frustrated by the lack of luxury bags combining elegance with versatility, she spent three years developing LIAVELLA alongside leading industry experts and insights from over 100 women.

The LIAVELLA name is a merging of eras, symbolising the needs of the modern woman, influenced by an understanding of past sacrifices.
Our founder's first name, Lia, embodies modern spirit and empowerment. Combined with ‘Avella’, Lia’s name of Italian descent, symbolising sacrifice and change for a better future.
